My 3rd Unreal Engine Book

I know that I’ve been a lot far away from this blog, due to the pressure at work and the personal little small company. But there were tons going around in favor of this blog. I’ll try to post all of them one by one. Wont speak too much, Here is the details for the new book:

      1. Thanks… I saw some other books that were just released and it was for 4.7.6. Is there a table of contents that I could review? Take care.

        1. idk really about table of content, you can contact the support. What I mean, I already have the table of content, but I’m not allowed to share anything without the publisher being shared it first.

          1. No worries. I do not order any books without first reviewing the TOC. I’ll wait until its published and check out some reviews….. Good luck.

  1. I’m having some issues running the code for this book (4.12 code). The gladiator does not move. I’ve debugged and the input seems to be received OK and the MoveForward function is running successfully but no movement seems to be performed by the controller. Any help would be appreciated!

    1. The book was written with Unreal 4.10, and any later version might have some API changes. I’ll have a look on 4.12 or 4.13 soon, and write my update here.

The best to do now, is to use the same version as the book (Unreal 4.10 and VS15)

      Best,

        1. For info, works OK in 4.10 so I guess you’re right. Good book btw – not many decent books relating to C++ development for Unreal. Is there an easier way to contact you if I have any more questions/issues?
          Cheers
          Matt
